Social Research

KCGM regularly conducts research with the local community to obtain feedback on its operations. The company undertook a Community Attitude Assessment in 1999, four independent Social Impact Assessments, in 2004, 2007, 2010 and 2016, and a Community Perception Survey in 2013. The results of this research gives KCGM an indication of its social performance, key social impacts and the company’s management of them, determine key areas for improvement, and investigate perceptions of KCGM to help develop its community relations strategies. The most recent Social Impact Assessment, conducted in 2016, is available for download below.
