KCGM has allocated $1,500 towards Flipper Ball which is a modified game of water polo for kids. Flipper Ball helps the development of children greatly promoting team building, communication and leadership skills with these traits being valued in any sector of society.

Another popular activity for the kids at the CME Mine Open Day was the Otraco tryre maze.

Huge Crowds gathered at the 2005 St Barbara's Parade to watching the mining equipment travel down Hannan Street.

All aboard the bus for the extremely popular Super Pit Tours which run Boulder Market Day, the third Sunday of every month. Tours are at 10am, 10.30am, 11am & 11.30am.

KCGM "Tunnel Rats" represented the company at the 2006 CME Underground Mine Emergency Response Competition which was held at Mt Charlotte over the 4th and 5th of November.

It's always very busy at the Super Pit Shop on Boulder Market Day as famous Burt St, the heart of Boulder comes alive with a variety of market stalls, food and entertainment. This happens the third Sunday of each month, the Shop is open from 9.30am - 12.30pm.

The crowd was in awe over the size of the 793C and 777 Mining Trucks making their way down Hannan St.

The KCGM stand at the 2007 Kalgoorlie-Boulder Fair. It's complete with information on the mining operation, balloons, free native trees and the very popular lolly tyre.

The lolly tyre was once again a huge hit at the KCGM Fair stand attracting lots little and big kids!

Another popular activity at the KCGM fair stand was sifting for 'gold nuggets' in the sand pit. Volunteer Paul Jago, KCGM Senior Mining Engineer gives the youngsters a hand to 'strike it rich!'

The KCGM fair stand was only made possible with the help of many KCGM volunteers inlcuding Claire McGuire, Environmental Officer and Paula Lally, Mine Accountant.

Steve Bryce, Superintendent Mine Maintenance and Mellisa Liong, Senior Mine Accountant were among some of the KCGM Volunteers who helped out on the stand.

The new policy was launched at the city’s number one tourist attraction, the Super Pit Lookout, by Chair of the KCGM Community Reference Group, Ron Yuryevich. The BBQ celebration was attended by KCGM employees and community members and special guests Kim Hughes and Ken Judge.

St Barbara's Parade was spectacular.

NARA is an organisation that care, rehabilitate and release wildlife. They work with rare and endangered animals and do Landcare promotion for sustainability and biodiversity. They also have education opportunities and personal development programmes. NARA is committed to the area of indigenous education, training and employment initiatives.

The Palace Recreation Theatre has inline skating every Friday night where kids 12 years and older can skate to their hearts content.

KCGM was proud to sponsor the inaugural Ninga Mia Talent Quest Show over a September weekend. 12 entrants and three bands battled it out for a variety of prizes over the Friday and Saturday night.

The exhibition is a celebration of Aboriginal art and culture by artists currently or previously employed by the Community Development Employment Program in the Goldfields. KCGM has committed $5,000 to enable the art exhibition to see fruition.
