The landscape has improved, there is more vegetation surrounding the City and it is also safer because the old mine shafts and active mining areas closer to the City have been fenced off.
In a harsh environment, KCGM is building a long-term answer to the environmental problems of mining near the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder and the famous Golden Mile. KCGM's work proves that mines, people and the environment can co-exist.
