Fimiston TSFs Seepage and Groundwater Management Plan Annual Audit
The primary objective of the SGMP is to manage groundwater around the Fimiston TSF’s so as to minimise environmental impact to the local habitat. This in particular prevents harm to vegetation as a consequence of rising groundwater levels. The secondary objective of the SGMP is to ultimately restore groundwater levels to agreed targets based upon the historical groundwater levels for the region.
KCGM is required to engage a suitable qualified professional to conduct an annual audit of the SGMP. This audit includes a review of the progress towards targets and milestones and examines if plan objectives are still appropriate, and being achieved. The findings from this audit, and public feedback received, will be used to determine if the current SGMP requires revision.
The following report presents the findings of the SGMP Annual Audit and is available for public comment. We encourage the community to take an interest and provide feedback regarding this report.

Fimiston TSFs Seepage and Groundwater Management Plan Annual Audit
In September 2005 KCGM released the Seepage and Groundwater Management Plan (SGMP) to oversee the planning and management activities associated with controlling groundwater around the Fimiston I and Fimiston II TSFs.
The primary focus of the SGMP is groundwater level management around the TSFs to protect vegetation. This requires the depth to groundwater to be maintained sufficiently deep so as not to impact on the soils or roots from which plants source water.
KCGM is required to engage a suitable qualified professional to conduct and audit of the SGMP. This audit will include a review of the progress towards targets and milestones and if plan objectives are still appropriate and being achieved. The findings from this audit and public feedback received will be used to determine if the current SGMP requires revision.
The following report represents the findings of the SGMP Annual Audit and is available for public comment. We encourage the community to take an interest and provide feedback regarding this report.

Fimiston TSFs Historical Groundwater Level Review Report
In September 2005 KCGM released the Seepage and Groundwater Management Plan (SGMP) to oversee the planning and management activities associated with controlling groundwater around the Fimiston I and Fimiston II TSFs.
The primary focus of the SGMP is groundwater level management around the TSFs to protect vegetation. This requires the depth to groundwater to be maintained sufficiently deep so as not to impact on the soils or roots from which plants source water.
KCGM committed to a professional review of the historical groundwater levels surrounding the Fimiston TSFs as part of the SGMP. The historical groundwater levels will be used to determine the extent to which the water table should trend toward during operation and ultimately reach following decommissioning of the TSFs. The data from this review will be used to determine the ultimate goal of the SGMP.
The following report presents the findings of the historical groundwater level review and is available for public comment.
